He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Tamminga and Ann Tamminga. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Van Iwarden; and his children, Sandy Gulker (Fred), Robert Edward Tamminga, Jr. (Sherry), Marla Opgenorth (Terry) and Jill Velgersdyk (Darryl). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
