It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sara Therese (Ongena) Speence (Denver, Colorado), who passed away on October 15, 2025, at the age of 50, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Robert, Dorothy Ongena, Lawrence and Audrey Keehn; and her father Dr. Charles Ongena.
She is survived by: her husband Jacob Spence; her children, Magnus, Aero and Maren Spence; her mother Theresa Ongena; her children, Christopher Ongena (Karen), Sara Spence (Jacob) and Stephanie Munley (Michael); her grandchildren, Thomas, Matthew and Margaret Ongena; and her children, Finnbarr and Audrey Munley.
A vigil service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:25 PM at the Horan & McConaty (1091 S Colorado Blvd, Denver, CO 80246). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Most Precious Blood Catholic Church (3959 E Iliff Ave, Denver, CO 80210).
