It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sara Therese (Ongena) Spence (Denver, Colorado), who passed away on October 15, 2025, at the age of 50, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Dr. Charles Ongena; and her grandparents, Robert, Dorothy Ongena, Lawrence and Audrey Keehn.
She is survived by: her husband Jacob Spence; her children, Magnus, Aero and Maren Spence; her mother Theresa Ongena; her siblings, Christopher Ongena (Karen) and Stephanie Munley (Michael); and her siblings' children, Thomas, Matthew, Margaret Ongena, Finnbarr and Audrey Munley.
A vigil service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:25 PM at the Horan & McConaty (1091 S Colorado Blvd, Denver, CO 80246). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Most Precious Blood Catholic Church (3959 E Iliff Ave, Denver, CO 80210).
