She is survived by: her husband Chance Matula; her children, Berkley, Adelyn, Chance and Juliette; her grandchild Rustyn; her siblings, Craig, Ricky, Alex, Sheree, Scott and Shelby; her siblings-in-law, Richae, Michaela, Brenna and John; and her parents-in-law, Dave, Kim and Kathy. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and a large circle of extended family and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a scholarship fund established for Shannel's children.
