She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles W. Shoemake and Ethelyn D. Shoemake; her uncle Estel Shoemake (Grace); and her cousin Robert Shoemake (Leona). She is survived by : her son Michael W. McMillan; her son-in-law John F. White Jr. of Aurora; her sister Patricia; and also, W. F. McMillan (Gay) of Oklahoma City and Jack Krimmel of Gallatin Tennessee.
In early 2011, Shirley moved to Aurora, Colorado to live with her son Michael and son-in-law John White Jr. The three of them made a home together until Shirleys health needs changed in January 2020 and the global pandemic changed the healthcare landscape.
