She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles W. Shoemake and Ethelyn D. Shoemake; her uncle Estel Shoemake (Grace); and her cousin Robert Shoemake (Leona). She is survived by: her son Michael W. McMillan; her son-in-law John F. White Jr. of Aurora; her sister Patricia; W. F. McMillan (Gay) of Oklahoma City and Jack Krimmel of Gallatin Tennessee.
In early 2011, Shirley moved to Aurora, Colorado to live with her son Michael and son-in-law John White Jr. The three of them made a home together until Shirleys health needs changed in January 2020 and the global pandemic changed the healthcare landscape.
