She was loved and cherished by many people including : her spouse Lee Gurney; her children, Debbie Stark (Steve), Jonathan Gurney and Matthew Gurney (Jen Cohen); her brothers, Alan Sedley and Joel Sedley (Laurie); her nieces and nephews, Jessica Besbris (Daniel), Jordan Sedley, Jacqueline Sedley, Karen Einisman (Alan) and Michael Sedley; her grandchildren, Solomon, Simi Stark, Madison (Jon) and Isaac Gurney (Matt); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Jonah, Eli Einisman, Asher and Theodore Besbris; and her children, Cleveland and Temple Emanuel.

A funeral service was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at 51 Grape St, Denver, CO 80220. A graveside service was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Emanuel Cemetery (430 S Quebec St, Denver, CO 80247). A shiva was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 at 3:00 PM, on Saturday, May 25th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, on Sunday, May 26th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM and at 4:00 PM at the Home of Debbie and Steve Stark (8080 E Cedar Ave, Denver, CO 80230).
