Yiannis S. Saroukos Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Yiannis S. Saroukos of Denver, Colorado, who passed away on July 16, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Spiros Saroukos and Nomiki Saroukos; and his wife Despina. He is survived by: his children, Irene Saroukos, Nomiki Bitzanakis (Yianni) and Pantelis Saroukos; his grandchildren, Savvina, Despoina, Rinoula Kougkra, Niki, Andonis and Yiannis Bitzanakis; and his siblings, Kostas Saroukos (Dionyssia), Giorgios Saroukos, Theokliti Amorginos (Pantelis), Tassia Vigliaris (Andrea), Popi Korfia (Manoli), Maria and Sakilari Marinou.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Cathedral (4610 E Alameda Ave, Denver, CO 80246). A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Fairmount Cemetery (430 S Quebec St, Denver, CO 80247). A reception will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at 980 Grant St, Denver, CO 80203.
