He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Swets and Minnie Swets (Dykstra). He is survived by: his wife Maureen Swets (Noel); and his daughters, Noelle Cope (Bob Jensen-Winkelman) and Danielle Pals (Jason Pals). He is also survived by his sisters, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
