He was predeceased by: his parents, Dismel Gurule and Maclovia Gurule; his brothers, Manuel, Junior, Bernie, Lemuel and George; and his brother-in-law Bud Gohn.
He is survived by: his sisters, Rosie Gohn and Tina Beal; and his siblings-in-law, Carl Beal and Candie Gurule. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (254 E 5th Ave, Durango, CO 81301). A rosary will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Greenmount Cemetery (900 Cemetery Rd, Durango, CO 81301).
