With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Matrissa Copeland of Eads, Colorado, born in Lamar, Missouri, who passed away on March 23, 2022 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Roy Bowles and Lucy Bowles (Kennard); her husband Millard C. Copeland; her sister Dorothy Nunnery (Austin Bowles); and her brother-in-law Richard Thompson.

She is survived by : her son Clayton Copeland (Virginia) of Woodland Park, CO; her grandsons, Kevin Copeland (Tammy) of Jefferson, CO and Shane Copeland of Tecumseh, NE; and her siblings, Loren Bowles (Joyce) of Cortez, CO, Bonnie Rowan (AC) of Lamar, CO and Lorene Thompson of Lamar, CO. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice and/or Prairie Pines Assisted Living either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
