He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Andreas Hummel and Maria Hummel; his siblings, Otto and Marianne; his wife Elsa Kreiner; his children, Heidi Hoyt (Bruce), Hannelore Doty (David), Martin Hummel (Karen) and Andy Hummel (Mary Frances); his grandchildren, Henry Hoyt (Cody), Isabel Hoyt, Andrew Doty (Emily), Lauren Doty, Dominic Doty (Cathy), Gretchen Hummel, Davis Hummel, Audrey Hummel, Andrew Hummel and Teddy Hummel; and his great grandchildren, Olivia Doty and Silas Hoyt.
