She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Tapp (Curry) and Earl Tapp; her brother Preston Tapp; and her brother-in-law Walter Boston of Woodward, OK.. She is survived by: her husband James Whiteneck of Estes Park, CO; her daughters, Robin Whiteneck Garrison (Lewis Garrison) of Moore, OK, Jenny Whiteneck (Mike Gish) of Saratoga Springs, NY, Katie Brown (Rob Brown) of Fort Collins, CO and Susan Whiteneck (Chris Yochum) of Estes Park, CO; her siblings, Steve Tapp (Debbie Tapp) of Bradenton, FL and Eva Boston of Woodward, OK; and her grandchildren, Johnno, Oliver, Annabel, Scarlett, Mary, Jules, Tindel, Laryn, Alex, Jake and Maddie. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other children.
A funeral service was held on Monday, September 7th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Presbyterian Community Church.
In lieu of flowers, financial gifts in Carol's memory should be directed to the choir at the Presbyterian Community Church of the Rockies or to the Estes Valley Friends of the Library Foundation.
