He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Peña and Manuela Barron; his wife Genoveva; his grandchildren, Mark Anthony Peña, Mikayla Denise Peña, Angel Rey David Villegas and Pedro Jose Villegas; and his great grandchild Anastasia Amani Salcido Peña.

He is survived by: his children, Juan Antonio Peña Martinez (Rosario), Alma Delia Peña, Manuala Peña, Rachel Peña, Gabriel Peña (Maria), Esmeralda Villegas (Jose) and Marivelle Christina Peña; and his sisters, Hermelinda Peña Barron and Vida Peña Barron. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
