He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph G. Stitzel and Myra I. Maxson Stitzel; and his brother Robert Lee Stitzel (Bob). He is survived by: his former wife Mae Swan; his daughter Ramona; his former wife Leah Fong; his wife Betty Stine; and his children, Mona Stout (Dave), Susan Stitzel, Milissa Schmucker (David), Melanie Stitzel and Jon Brian Stitzel (Erika). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mountain View Cemetery (620 11th Ave, Longmont, CO 80501). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at the Eagle Crest Community Clubhouse (4700 Eagle Crest Blvd, Longmont, CO 80504).
