Chester James Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Chester James (Fort Collins, Colorado), born in Park Rapids, Minnesota, who passed away on December 6, 2019 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernie James and Gene James. He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Tiffany, Ty and Tanner; his grandchildren, Maryn, Brenden and Indy; and his sisters, Ellen and Nancy.

“In today's mail came my april issue of air line pilot magazine. I have been retired from continental airlines since 2009. The mag keeps me in touch with the profession that seems light-years ago now. I was shocked and saddened to see chester's name in the "in memorium" section. Chester was very, very important to me in my career and i owe him a debt i can never repay. He was, truly, one of the finest gentlemen i've ever known, in the cockpit or out. Blue skies, my friend.”
