She was predeceased by: her parents, Pete Chavez and Romie Chavez; her son Larry Ortivez; and her siblings, George, Henry, Herman, Lermen, Ernest Donald, Helen and Celia.
She is survived by: her husband Louie Ortivez; her daughters, Annette Rivas of Fort Collins and Jeannette Fry (Paul) of Adams, Nebraska; and her grandchildren, Abe Rivas, Jr. (Jaime) of Fort Collins, Andrew Rivas (Celeste) of Fort Collins, Adrian Rivas (Liz) of Fort Collins, Taylor Ortivez of Fort Collins and Mattee Fry of Adams, Nebraska. She is also survived by eight great- grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
