He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine "Kitty" Cunningham and Joseph Nebel; his siblings, Francis, James, Margaret, William and Catherine (Kay); and his grandson Thomas Leo Nebel.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Marie (Jason Amstutz), Amy Therese (Donald Threewitt) and Paul Gerard (Pamela Nebel); and his great grandchildren, Miranda Catherine Threewitt (Josh Patterson), Devon Jeremiah William Osborne, Brendan Michael Threewitt (Erika Teasley), Grainne Sunanda Mona McCready, Margaret Patricia Threewitt, Roisin Carolynn Threewitt, Colin Patrick Threewitt and Belmont Donald Simmons. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Notre Dame Parish (2190 S Sheridan Blvd, Denver, CO 80219). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Fort Logan National Cemetery.
