He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Lawrence Smith and Belva Clymore Smith; and his wife Sue. He is survived by: his daughter Paula Fries; his son-in-law Bruce; his granddaughters, Emmanuelle Diana and Gracyn Sara; his sister Cheryl Feraud; and his nephews, John and Brian.
