He was predeceased by: his parents, Johann Templefeld and Julia Templefeld; his wife Diana Margheim Templefeld; and his siblings, Elizabeth Stites (Robert) and Wilheim "Willie" Templefeld.
He is survived by: his son James Templefeld; and his sister Teresia Metzger (Erwin). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
