He is survived by: his daughters, Alison Beatrice (Garrigan) and Elisabeth Evelyn (Farwell-Moreland); his grandchildren, Christopher Mitchell (Aisling Montague) and Jessica Moreland; his great grandchild Lorelei Mitchell; his nieces and nephews, Daniel, Peter, Sharon Fawell, Katherine Kaufman-Glass, Michael Hensch and Diana Hensch Adkins; and his wife's daughter Valerie Taylor.

Before the pandemic, Jonathan met director, writer and kindred soul, Ann Vermel, when she directed him in Under Milkwood.
