She is survived by: her husband Mark Schwartz; her daughters, Heather Novak and Maegan Schwartz; her sons-in-law, Rob Novak and Chris Conrad; her grandson Jack Novak; her siblings, Mark Jenkins, David Jenkins and Merri Neiwart; and her close friend Bonita Weiss. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to National Public Radio in Lyndell's honor.
