He was predeceased by : his former life partner Margaret Louise Ormsby; his parents, Harold Eugene Hubbard and Lurline Delia Hurlock; and his stepfather Vernon B. Thompson. He is survived by : his wife Jane Neth Thompson; his sons, Mark Richard and David Ross Thompson; his son-in-law Luis Tamayo; his grandchildren, Clara, Milena Suenskes Thompson and Lucas; his stepchildren, Hal Neth (Natasha), Caite Switzer, Cara (Torger Hougen), Marcy and Alex Neth (Brandy); and his stepgrandchildren, Claire, Charles, Blaze, Raina, Olive, Jack, Harry and Beatrix. He is also survived by family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 13th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church of Fort Collins (531 S College Ave, Fort Collins, CO 80524).
