He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Aaron Baxley, Sr. and Virginia Jeanette Baxley (Butler); and his former wife Beverly Baxley (Loyd). He is survived by: his grandchildren, Adam, Sean, Adrianna, Krue and Kian; his wife Diana; his children, Robert A Baxley, III (Laura), Brenda Rotter (Michael) and Melissa (Scot Weber); his siblings, Russ Baxley, G. Benjamin Baxley (Tere) and Julie Rinella (Baxley); Marie Loyd. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.

“My brother Robert was the oldest of us kids, he had the heavy responsibility of taking care of us when mom and dad were at work. That early task helped him form a basis of caring for others. That shows up throughout his life. Talking to him on his last few days he told me to come to Colorado sooner than later. And I arrived on Saturday and saw him before he passed on early Sunday morning. To hold his hand and speak to him was to honor his life. Diana thank you for loving and caring for him.”
