He is survived by: his father Robert Dwayne of Grant, NE; his children, Tyler Nelson (Brooke Montano) of Wichita, KS, Alexa Nelson (Michael Lambert) of Thornton, CO and Jonathan Smith of Weldona, CO; his brothers, Brent Nelson (Mary Jane) of Ogallala and Scott Nelson (Rhonda) of Emerson, IA; and his siblings' children, Shelbi McDaniel, Peter Nelson, Riley Nelson, Emily Nelson, Makayla Martin, Byron Nelson and Brady Nelson. He is also survived by several other relatives and friends.
A memorial has been established in Doug's memory for later designation.
