He was predeceased by: his parents, George Torrez and Teresita Torrez of Mountainair, NM.; and his siblings, Lina Guzman, Eloisa Jimenez, Mario Torrez, Benny Torrez, Margarito Torrez, Joe Torrez, George Jr. Torrez and Gilbert Torrez.
He is survived by: his wife Pam Brummer; his sisters, Mary Franco of Fort Morgan, CO and Polly Contreras of Fort Morgan, CO; his nephew Lonnie Torrez of Albuquerque, NM.; and his stepchildren, Kelly VanVoast of Havre Montana and Scott Brummer (Mary Araujo) of Chinook Montana. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren and cherished friends.
Viewing was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Heer Mortuary (225 E Platte Ave, Fort Morgan, CO 80701). A rosary was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Helena's Catholic Church (917 W 7th Ave, Fort Morgan, CO 80701).
