She was predeceased by: her husband Michael Dugan. She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Armijo (John Armijo), Jeremy Padgett (Mima Padgett) and James Padgett (Anjie Padgett); and her grandchildren, Joey Padgett, Marissa Padgett and Mariah Padgett.
One particularly cherished family memory was witnessing Mary being invited onto the stage at an international conference, where she received a standing ovation in recognition of her dedication and contributions to the journal.
