He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton McGowan and Olwyn McGowan (Pat); his siblings, Robert McGowan and Deborah McGowan; and his brother-in-law Donnie Thompson.

He is survived by: his siblings, Michael McGowan, Judy Thompson (McGowan) and Donna Luciani (McGowan); his nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Bolton), Clements (Daniel), Abby Bolton, Brandon McGowan, Brian Luciani and Christopher Luciani (Emma); his great-nephew Harrison Williams (Leeza); his great-nieces, Regan Dixon (Austin), Josi Luciani, Lillian Carver, Isla, Sophia and Josephine Luciani; Cooper Dixon.
