He is survived by: his children, Candis Stephens of Fowler, Jacob Baxter of Fowler, Joseph Baxter of Fowler, Jason Baxter of Pueblo, Jared Baxter of Pueblo, Cody Hankla of Pueblo and Brianna Hankla of Pueblo; his grandchildren, Kela Stephens, Joseph Baxter, Daniel Baxer, Susie Baxter, Penelope Baxter, Harper Baxter, Jack Baxter, JT Baxter, Lili Baxter, Leo Baxter, Luke Baxter, Ave Wear and Lindsey Hankla; his great grandchild Hank Baxter; his siblings, Wilma Metzger (Domingo Ruiz) of Pritchett, Douglas Metzger of Avondale and Anthony Metzger of Rocky Ford; his sister-in-law Deya Metzger; and his niece Melinda Metzger (Melissa Metzger) of Boone.
