It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilbur Russell Bates of Fowler, Colorado, who passed away on December 16, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Bates and Lola Bates; and his wife Lois Bates. He is survived by: his children, Kathy Bauserman (Steve), Beth Hartless (Tom), Susie Bates and Russell Bates (Shaleen); his grandchildren, Jill Bauserman, Kyle Bauserman, Abbey Hartless, Shelby Rusler (Brett), Brennan Bates (Taylor) and Braxton Bates; and his great grandchildren, Hayes and Hudson Rusler.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in memory of Bill to Solid Rock Baptist Church, 705 W. Pitkin Ave., Fowler, CO 81039.
