She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Loflin and Eunice Loflin; her siblings, Sonny, Eileen, Margaret and Helen; and her grandson Michael.
She is survived by: her spouse Bernie Waldschmidt; and her children, Steve (Robin), Dan (Joy), Sue, Sherry (Larry) and Donna (Dan).
A Mass will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church - Ellis (703 Monroe St, Ellis, KS 67637). A burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at the Mt. Hope Cemetery - Ellis (900 E 12th St, Ellis, KS 67637).
She prayed a Rosary daily and when she was home bound, she enjoyed the EWTN channel to celebrate Mass. Marilyn always sponsored the Youth Group at Sacred Heart by donating to their trips, bake sales, and looked forward to their annual leaf raking fund raiser in the Fall.
