With heavy hearts and joy of the Lord we announce the passing of Maria Archuleta of Gardner, Colorado, who passed away on June 28, 2023, at the age of ninety-one.
She lived her best life with a cheerful outlook, saying “You can do whatever you want to do, if you put your mind to it.” Her most important contribution to this world was having five children, who have made positive contributions to their communities and around the world, including her grandchildren. Three of which served in the military, others are college professionals in healthcare, social work, dentistry, journalism, and entrepreneurism, others are in blue collar industries.
She was predeceased by her parents Solomon and Rebecca Peralta, her loving husband Manuel Archuleta, son Leonard Aguirres, granddaughter Gypse, sisters Cora and Ernestine, brothers Saul, Gato, Ben, and Richard; as well as; other cherished family members.
She is survived by her sister Viola, four children, nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
1. Son Joey is a Military Veteran, his two children: Jose and Gypse (deceased) and nine grandchildren.
2. Son Leonard (deceased), his two sons: Leon and Christopher and five grandchildren.
3. Daughter Rose, her two daughters: Nicole and Gabriela, and two grandsons.
4. Son Bobby is a Military Veteran.
5. Son Jimmy is a Military Veteran, his four children: Julian, Adrianna, Ashley, and Jordan.
An incredibly special thank you from family to all Marias caregivers: Leroy, Betty, Connie, Toni, Stanna, and Donna K Tieken caregiver and close friend.
Services will be held on July 15th at 10:00am at the Gardner Cemetery. The celebration of life will be at the Gardner Event Center directly after the funeral. Family and friends may send flowers or leave condolences on this memorial page to share with the family.
