We are sad to announce that on August 4, 2023, at the age of 76, Scott McNair Balcomb (Glenwood Springs, Colorado), born in Boulder, Colorado passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Kenneth C. Balcomb and Carrie Nell "Nellie" Simpson; his siblings, Katharine Rippy and Kenneth C. Balcomb III; and his niece Mollie Thulson.

He is survived by : his wife Janet Ann Balcomb; his children, Rue Balcomb and Stephen "Bo" Balcomb (Janet); his stepdaughters, Jennifer Goolsby (Scott) and Jessica Chapman (Travis); his brother Mark Balcomb (Lisa); and his grandchildren, Madison, Spencer, Blake, Peyton Balcomb, Brecken, Ashlynn Guccini, Benjamin, Bodie Chapman, Jake and Luke Goolsby.

In lieu of flowers, consider helping a dog and make a donation in Scott's honor to an animal shelter of your choice.
