He is survived by: his son Dean Melton of Granada, Colorado; his grandchildren, Johnny Melton (Tracy) of Boone, CO, Janeene Brown (Sean) of Scottsbluff, NE, Lacy Waight (Joel) of Thornton, CO, Steph Guerrero (Ruth) of Northglenn, CO and Samme Sylvis of Northglenn, CO; his great grandchildren, Gabriel Melton (Kennedyanne), Ailene Melton, Averie Melton, Mattie Brown, Bowen Brown, A'Leah Waight (Josh Agurries), Thomas Waight, Aiden Guerrero, Shea Sylvis (Justin Botelho) and Ryley Sylvis (Rebekka Dicken); his great great grandchildren, Grayson Portales, Isaiah Agurries, Walker Botelho and Weston Botelho; his brother Gene Melton; his son-in-law Steve Dickinson; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Jonathan, Sierra and Jayden. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
