He was predeceased by: his mother Effie Barrett; his wife Billie Jean Hovis; and his siblings, Patsy Patton and Larry Hovis. He is survived by: his sons, Glen Alan Hovis (Jade Hovis) and Eugene Eddie Hovis (Shannon Hovis); and his sister Lorene Thomson of Coos Bay. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
