She was predeceased by: her parents, James Kidd and Evelyn Kidd; and her sister Marilyn Lucas of Canada. She is survived by: her son Peter Schimek; her daughter-in-law Wendy Schimek of Fruita, Colorado; her grandchildren, Kyle and Taylor Schimek of Grand Junction; her sister Joan Kidd; and her nephews, Eric Franc of Quebec, Canada. and Marc Quevillon of Quebec, Canada..
In lieu of a service, donations may be made in Doreen's name to the Community Hospital Labor & Delivery Unit.
