It is with sadness that the passing of John Charles Liljenberg (Grand Junction, Colorado) is shared. John, born on February 16, 1944 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away on August 28, 2026. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wendell Liljenberg and Esther Samulson; his brother Gary Liljenberg; his stepfather Arthur "Art" Kennet; and his parents-in-law, Joe Lesko and Helen Lesko (Philpott).
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Liljenberg (Lesko) of Grand Junction; his sons, Todd Liljenberg (Caren) of Florida and Jesse Liljenberg; his stepson Aaron Nyuha (Jenn Chow); his grandson Reese Nyuha; his siblings-in-law, Gary Leszko, Ricky Leszko, Eric Turnquist, Robert Archuleta, Lynn Liljenberg, JoAnn Turnquist and Diann Lesko; and his nieces, Wendy Liljenberg, Connie Denmark (Grischa), Jackie Cottingham, Jennifer Lesko, Ashley Guevaro and Maria Lesko.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Snyder Grand Valley Memorials, Inc. (292 26 1/4 Rd, Grand Junction, CO 81503). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
