“Monte was one of my best friends in High School. He was my workout partner, drinking pal and a real "chick magnet". Monte would roll his eyes with modesty when the RHS marching band would sing "Monte, Monte Beard, I want to be like Monte Beard", to the tune of Macho Man (1979). Monte led the way to football games with the driving cadence of his quad drums. I am sorry we lost touch. I hope your years were filled with love and joy. Thank you for being my friend, back in the day, Monte Lane Beard.”

“Monte Beard was a great friend back at Reynoldsburg High. He always had that big smile. I got to know him in DECA with PK and still remember a very eventful Risk game with Rick during our DECA trip. We used to hang out at Monte's house, listening to his favorite tunes by Ozzy Osbourne, Molly Hatchet, etc. I still retell the story about his Great Dane hit by a Beetle, that stood up and walked away, while the car sat damaged. Glad to have this chance to remember Monte. My condolences to all.”
