He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Scheetz and Mary Scheetz; his wife Roxcie Smith of Delta Colorado; his brothers, Jim (Jearee) and Bob; and his stepdaughter Ricki.
He is survived by: his children, Theresa Rood (Henry) and Patrick Scheetz (Lisa); his stepson Robert Shilaikis (Shawna); his siblings, Mae Hanley (John), Tony Scheetz (Barbara), Johnny Scheetz (Pat), Phil Scheetz (Linda), Loretta McCarthy (Dwayne) and Bill Scheetz (Dolores); his brother-in-law John Smith (Linda); his grandchildren, Joseph Curtis (Jenn), Chelsey Shilaikis, Ely Shilaikis (Haley), Kodee Shilaikis (Cauy), Tiffanie Groveau (Bobby), Lynn Cook (Dan), Shelby Massheimer (Kevin), Justin Shilaikis (Ale) and Zander Scheetz; and his great grandchildren, Kevin Cook, June Grayzer, Gauge, Gunner Curtis, Sully Massheimer, McKenzie Groveau, Damien and Avery Shilaikis.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (1395 SW 9th St, Cedaredge, CO 81413). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM at the Delta City Cemetery (1055 E 3rd St, Delta, CO 81416).
