He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Steffens and Charlotte Steffens. He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Mandi Weed (Don) of Monte Vista, Paul Steffens (Andrea) of Alamosa, Tim Steffens (Emily) of Colorado Springs and Matthew Sliwkowski (Tami) of Creede; his brother Harold Steffens (Margaret) of Colorado Springs; his grandchildren, Robby Weed (Danielle), Jordan Hensley (Terry), Sarah Steffens (Barett), Angela Heersink, Michael Steffens (Kristen), Becky Steffens, Sydney Rosado (Jason), Charlie Steffens, Lilly Steffens, Tyler Sliwkowski and Brooke Sliwkowski; and his great grandchildren, Hayden Weed, Jamison, Weston Hensley, Ethan Gibson, Jason T, Jr., Kalyn Heersink, Jaylin and Genevieve Steffens. He is also survived by many extended family members including numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Creede (24723 CO-149, Creede, CO 81130).
