He was predeceased by: his parents, George Unfred and Lorena Unfred; his brother Leland Unfred; and his sister-in-law Marion. He is survived by: his wife Betty Mae Unfred; his siblings, Lloyd Unfred (Cathy Rosal), Floyd Unfred (Maggie) and Doris Arcieri; his brother-in-law George Arcieri; his niece Donna Arcieri; and his granddaughter Jaclyn Rae Unfred. He is also survived by 30 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
After returning home, Robert became a master plumber and contractor, making significant contributions to his community by building subdivisions and serving as a plant manager at St. Mary's Hospital.
