He was predeceased by: his mother Ethel R. Cox; his wife Bonnie; his son Dennis; and his siblings, Arline, Janice, Laurine, Wilma, Allen, Bud and Lester Jr. Sherrill.
He is survived by: his father Lester W. Cox; his son Richard Cox (Kim); his grandchildren, Amy Bustad, Zachary Cox (Ginger) and Cody Cox (Jody); and his siblings, LeRoy and Loretta. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and was a father.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Craig Cemetery (630 Ashley Rd, Craig, CO 81625).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made in Sherrill's memory to the Beehive Homes Assisted Living in care of Grant Mortuary.
