Thomas Virgil Palen Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on February 9, 2026, at the age of 73, Thomas Virgil Palen (Grand Junction, Colorado) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid adieu to Thomas' earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Thomas has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Palen and Marion Palen. He is survived by: his wife Tawni McBee; and his siblings, William Palen (Elizabeth) and Marion "Toni" Palen. He is also survived by three sons, 4 sisters-in law, 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 14 nieces and nephews, and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.

He worked three successive therapy dogs until Covid interrupted.
