He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl B. Nelson and Dorthy A. Nelson (Anderson); his in-laws, Fred and Edna Trupp; his son Michael Nelson; and his brother William Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Nelson (Trupp); his daughter Rebecca Rink (Steve); his grandchildren, Megan Rink (Ryan Kessler), William Rink, Michaela Nelson (Cody Ash) and Timothy Nelson; his great grandchildren, Lilly Ann and Hunter Allen Ash of Greeley, Colorado.; his siblings, Sharon Bravard of Fayetteville, Arkansas and David Nelson (Chris) of Laramie, Wyoming; and his sister-in-law Maxine Nelson of Williston.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Adamson's Life Celebration Home (2000 47th Ave, Greeley, CO 80634).
