He is survived by: his children, Antero Alaniz, José (Lacey Alaniz), Monique Alaniz, Vanessa (Jessica Moran) and Antonio (Anika Leyva); his siblings, Oscar Alaniz Sr. and Ernestina Medina; his siblings-in-law, Catalina Alaniz and Manuel Rivas; and his pet Elvis. He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren.
