She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Brophy and Precious Brophy (Woodward); her husband Tom Schelly; her daughter Patty Schelly; and her granddaughter Mariah Green (Besecker).

She is survived by: her children, Don Schelly (Cathy), Alan Schelly, Dottie Bruch (Tom) and Gloria Besecker (Rick). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two surviving siblings.
