She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Erny and Monica Erny (Ruffing); her husband Bill Potmesil (Bill); her brother Bill; her sister-in-law Peg Erny; her sister Thelma; her siblings-in-law, Emmett Foley, Jim (Polly Potmesil), Cleo, Burns Landrum and Gene Potmesil; and her son-in-law Steve Snyder.
She is survived by: her son John (Elaine) of Alliance; her grandchildren, Lark Potmesil of Alliance, NE and Melinda (Eric Ferguson) of St. Louis, MO.; her daughter Connie Snyder of Stockton, KS; her grandchildren, Taakka Belcher (Rick) of Peyton, CO and Stephanie Snyder of Stockton, KS; her great grandchildren, Jacob Belcher, Misty Mann and Stormy Belcher; her great great grandchildren, Kulua Mann, Jr. and Eliana Mann; her daughter Sharon Sokol (Warren) of Fort Collins, CO; her grandchildren, Michelle Sokol, Kelly Sokol of Loveland, CO and Nicole Sokol (Chester Rubbo) of Greenwood Village, CO.; her son William Charles (Chip); and her grandsons, Ben of Ocala, FL and Tim Potmesil of Verona, WI..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Bates-Gould Funeral Home (1020 W 10th St, Alliance, NE 69301). A wake will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church (916 Cheyenne Ave, Alliance, NE 69301). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Agnes Academy, 1104 Cheyenne in Alliance or Carnegie Art Center, 204 W. 4th St in Alliance.
