He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Nemecio Benavidez and Anna Benavidez; his wife Angela Benavidez of Greeley; his stepchildren, Julian Salazar, Vinayziah Pina and Sonrisa Pina; his children, Darlene Benavidez, Amanda Vialpando and Michael Benavidez; his siblings, Sylvia Cruz, Isidore Benavidez and Vince Benavidez; his grandson Dominic; and his siblings, Geneva, Rita Benavidez, Mark and Nemicio Benavidez Jr..
