He was predeceased by: his parents, Patricio Sena and Antonia Sena; and his siblings, Pat Sena, Abe Sena, Salomon Sena, Jerry Sena, Sophie Sena and Susan Sena.

He is survived by: his son Juan Sena Jr.; his siblings, Isabel Velasquez, Pauline Armijo, Tony Sena, Martin Gurule and Ramon Gurule; and his grandchildren, Donavon Sena, Natalia Sena and Juan Sena III. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
