He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Adlai Thompson and Edith Annon Goodwin Thompson; his wife Jeanine Thompson; and his siblings, Martha Kirby, Mary Helen Nelms, David Thompson, Charles Thompson, William "Lawrence" Thompson and J. "Ralph" Thompson.
He is survived by: his siblings, Anita "Ruth" Spruell of Goldthwaite, Texas, Harold Thompson (Jeanie) of Ozona, Texas and Robert Thompson (Debra) of Conroe, Texas; his children, Ron Thompson (Linde) of Greeley, Colorado, Douglas Thompson (Elisa) of Pearland, Texas, Gerald Thompson (Tory) of Erie, Colorado, Leonda Doherty (Thomas) of Thornton, Colorado and Jeannette Sakata (Doug) of Frisco, Colorado.; his grandchildren, Katherine Thompson, Margaret Thompson, Benjamin Thompson, Jane Thompson, Nathaniel Thompson, Caleb Thompson, Annabel Thompson, Cole Sakata and Chase Sakata; and his great grandchildren, Ruth Ghofrani, Lena Ghofrani and Blaine Thompson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
