He was predeceased by : his parents, Darrell Heil and Mary Helen Heil of Greeley; and his siblings, Darrell Wayne Heil Jr. of Greeley and Mary Ellen Murray of Ohio. He is survived by : his wife Maddie; his children, Kristin, Gary Schillinger of New Orleans, Jeremy and Tamara Heil of Littleton; his grandchildren, Jaxon and Jayden; his brother Gordon; and his sister-in-law Harriett Heil of Aurora. He is also survived by extended family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 16th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the United Church of Christ (2101 16th St, Greeley, CO 80631).
